Success and Energy With Time

You are not alone and there is no need to worry if you feel that you never have time for anything and especially if you have heard yourself say something like "I was going to do the washing today, but after such I busy day I just couldn't get to it" then you are definitely in need of some time management skills. There are even those times when you don't even feel like going to the store for something you need, or you reject an invite to the movies because it seems like too much effort. This happens often, you are not the only one.

The way energy is defined is as follows: "the capacity for vigorous activity and available power". When adults have the feeling of exhaustion, they think back to their childhood, or seeing little kids running around like energizer bunnies, they remember what is was like for them to have so much energy. Now, they barely have enough energy to walk around their own house! It is true that today's lifestyle for many individuals completely drains you, with work, home, kids, cooking cleaning, just the general activities that take place on a daily basis are tiring to an astonishing extent. Success has a lot to do with one's energy levels, so the two have to be equally balanced.

There are many things in someone's lifestyle that may be the cause of the energy drainage, but in order to find the solution you have to think hard and drain some more! In this, meaning that you have to take some time to sit down and make a list of what you think drains your energy the most. Once you have done that, you do the opposite; make a list of all the things you think energize you. When you have identified these possible energizers, add them to your schedule everyday so that you can optimize your energy and power levels. Of course you will not be able to fit everything into your schedule, so just do the things that you feel will benefit you the most. When you have completed your two lists, it should look something like this:

ExhaustersEnergizers
Family disputes Exercise
Sickness Children
Overcrowded rooms Inspiration
Loneliness Fruit
Too much food Music
Kids Laughter
Rainy days Meditation
Alcohol Yoga
Medication New Ideas
Boredom Friendly People

Then there is the topic of work. It can either be where you get most of your energy from, or it can be the biggest energy drainer of all time. But what choice do we all have? Working is a necessity, not a privilege, so instead of beating ourselves up about it, let us rather think of ways in which you can improve your work life should you feel that it drains you more than anything. This can be done by adding some of the items on your "energizers" list to your time at work. Things like meditation, children and exercise might not fit the schedule, but there are other ones that fit perfectly.
